The Congress of North American Bosniaks sends greetings to all Americans for the 4th of July, Independence Day.
Over two centuries ago, American pioneer visionaries pledged their faith and honor in signing the Declaration of Independence, initiating one of the greatest chapters in the history of human freedom. The U.S. has opted to change local and global communities for the better and hopefully happier turn.
On the Fourth of July we remember and appreciate the great achievements of the U.S., our adopted country and great ally of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The U.S. actions in the Balkans have reaffirmed our confidence in the power of freedom and equality of all. Over twenty seven years ago, the U .S. recognized the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At that time, the U.S. was one of the first countries to recognize Bosnian independence. American intervention stopped the aggression and genocide of Bosniaks. As we approach the July 4th Holiday and celebration of the country’s 243rd independence celebration, we remember many Americans who were proponents of the Bosnian cause, and especially the American troops who were stationed in Bosnia as part of the peace effort. We thank them for their sacrifice.
Happy 4th of July!
