Congratulatory letter to Her Excellency Maureen Elizabeth Cormack

Maureen-Elizabeth-CormackThe President of the Board of Directors of the Congress of North American Bosniaks sent a letter of congratulations to Her Excellency Maureen Elizabeth Cormack in which he stated the following:

Your Excellency,

On behalf of 300,000 American Bosniaks, The Congress of North American Bosniaks would like to extend our congratulations to you for being confirmed as the ninth U.S. ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina since its independence in 1992.  After many years of war, destruction, genocide, and political instability, Bosnia and Herzegovina deserves peace, stability, economic prosperity, and a bright future for all of its citizens.  We hope that your appointment will bring about the leadership that is needed for a more active U.S. engagement in Bosnia in order to strengthen its course to full membership in NATO and the European Union (EU).

We wish you luck and success, and extend our sincere support to your diplomatic office in bringing peace, democratic, political and economic reforms to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. CNAB stands ready to assist in these efforts and looks forward to opening a dialog with you on issues that are of concerns for Bosniak Americans.

Best wishes for the success of your mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sincerely,

Hamdija Custovic
President of the CNAB Board of Directors
